Our Values
Vision
We are committed to discipleship that pursues intimacy with God and each other in the spirit of the Acts 2 church. We gather for Sunday Ekklesia, weekly house church koinonia, and Wednesday upper room prayer. We believe the koinonia of believers is the church and not the building. We strive to live on mission wherever we are. We believe the gospel has the power to save and transform broken people to impact the world.
Mission
To raise up Spirit led disciples of Jesus, empowered by the gospel, and living missionally by planting house churches in the Valley and in the nations.
Our Four Pillars
Intimacy
We were created for intimacy: To love God and love people.
We practice koinonia (share our lives) in our house churches by breaking bread, studying the scriptures, singing spiritual songs, and praying for one another.
We value authenticity and vulnerability.
John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
Discipleship
We are committed in training spirit led disciples that will impact the world for Jesus.
Everything we do is about discipleship.
Worship
We were created for worship. Mission exists because worship doesn’t.
We desire to see worshiping communities planted all over the Valley through disciple making and the house church movement.
Missions
We want to play our part in the great commission: to go and make disciples of all nations.
We do this primarily by planting house churches that will multiply to plant other house churches in the valley and in the nations.
What we Believe
Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
begotten from the Father before all ages,
God from God,
Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made;
of the same essence as the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven
he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,
and was made human.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered and was buried.
The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will never end.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life.
He proceeds from the Father and the Son,
and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.
He spoke through the prophets.
We believe in one holy universal and apostolic church.
We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and to life in the world to come.
Amen.
Apostles creed
We believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
